wanderlustjake
An interesting article about a War of 1812 corduroy road that can still be seen here in Michigan. http://www.freep.com/article/20110411/NEWS05/104110330/1001/rss01
Keep the Show on the Road!
Yo, Wanderluster First, good to see that you are emerging from a long Michigan winter. That is a fascinating article. I doubt there are many 200 year old plank roads still around! Dave keep the Show on the Road!
wanderlustjake
Hi Dave, Definitely ready for some warm weather! I was amazed that the road had lasted, especially since it is on the edge of a creek! I wish the current Michigan roads could last a little longer LOL. DennyG
Great find. Those were the days when roads had knotholes rather than potholes.
