Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival

Looking for a celebration of Louisiana food, Jazz music, and culture? Find it during the Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival. Held at the Lake Charles Civic Center at 900 Lakeshore Drive. Enjoy the savory tastes of Gulf shrimp and Jazz sounds from a variety of performers, including local artists. Runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Craving more exotic Jazz sounds and Louisiana cuisine? Get tickets for the music concert “Jazz After Dark,” featuring special guest artists, happening at 7 p.m. on festival day.
Festival Day also hosts a Jazz Academy provided by Jazz In the Arts Foundation’s seasoned instructors. The Academy provides an opportunity for young aspiring talent across Louisiana to learn and perform as the first performance of the festival on the main stage.
The festival promotes the cultural importance of jazz, cuisine and Louisiana art amid a thriving Louisiana economy. Furthermore, featuring a unique blend of music, performance, and visual arts.
