AMERICAN ROAD’S AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Help us spread the word about AMERICAN ROAD® and earn money at the same time!
1) We can send brochures to you to distribute for AMERICAN ROAD® magazine. These brochures offer a special discounted rate. We are pleased to be able to offer a payment of $2.00 from the sale of every one year subscription and $3.00 from the sale of every 2 year subscription. To make sure that the subscription sale is credited correctly when we receive it, we suggest that you label/stamp the brochure order form indicating your organization’s information–so we know the originating source. For nonprofit entities, we suggest including a statement to the effect that “$2.00 from your one-year subscription, or $3.00 from any two-year subscription order will be donated to the _________________.” A record is kept as subscriptions are received and a check with the balance owed sent at the end of the year.
2)We ask that you include this program on your web site (we provide cover art and a url to an order page with a special code that identifies where the subscription originated).
We have additional programs designed to assist nonprofit entities in fundraising and membership retention. Please contact us to learn about our other programs. We are convinced these programs offer a great incentive to help you improve funding.
We are sure you will agree that AMERICAN ROAD® delivers the kind of quality and content your customers or members would appreciate. We are excited about these programs and look forward to talking with you soon.
TESTIMONIALS from Non-profit entities partnering with AMERICAN ROAD® to provide automatic or low-cost subscriptions to their members:
Hi Becky & Dick,
“Love your magazine and gave it to friends this Christmas! Arlene” was
hand written on a renewal membership for the museum.

It was a pleasure a few days ago to receive a message from Frank Brusca
indicating that SCA members may receive discounts to AMERICAN ROAD®. In my case, it doesn’t matter; I am a subscriber (charter, I think), and would be at many times the cost. It’s a fine offer to the membership, though, and should be highly popular with them.
I just received the current issue, and the magazine is getting even better. I was elated to see the article on US 2. One of my keen interests is the old Theodore Roosevelt International Highway (Portland to Portland through Ontario), which from St. Ignace, Michigan to Bonners Ferry, Idaho followed what now is route 2. (Additionally, a small segment in Vermont followed the current US 2 also–and Vermont tourist maps still designate that piece as the “Roosevelt Highway.”) Nearly all the photos accompanying the article were of scenes and objects that I also had photographed. It made me want to cover the parts of US 2–in New England (except for Vermont), Canada, a piece of Idaho, and Washington–that I didn’t follow because the TR route took me elsewhere. Either way–TRIH or US 2–it must be America’s most scenic transcontinental route.
Thanks to AMERICAN ROAD® for superb articles, for helping me to relive the experience, and for encouraging me to do it all again.

The Things You Receive
You Earn Commissions: We will pay you commissions according to the following schedule, as long as the requirements for payment, that are described below the schedule, have been met.
- One-year subscription to AMERICAN ROAD® Magazine – $2.00
- Two-year subscription to AMERICAN ROAD® Magazine – $3.00
In order to be entitled to a commission for all of the following must occur for that item:
- a customer arrives at the Americanroadmagazine.com web site through a Tagged Link on your site
- the customer purchases one of the above items on the Americanroadmagazine.com web site
- the item is processed through the Americanroadmagazine.com Customer Service Center; and the item is not exchanged, refunded, or rebated.
At the end of our fiscal year (December 31), we will send you a commission check for such amount less any taxes required to be withheld under applicable law. When this Agreement ends, any commissions due at the time of termination will generally be paid at the end of the month following termination, but we may hold your final payment for a longer period of time to ensure that the correct amount is paid. If a customer disputes or rejects a purchased item, and we have already paid you a commission fee based on the sale of that item, we will deduct the amount of the disputed commission from your next commission fee payment. If there are no subsequent commission fees due to you, we will send you a bill for the amount of the disputed commission, and you agree that you will pay that bill no later than ninety (90) days after you receive it.
Please note that for customers who enter our site by any means other than a Tagged Link, you will not earn commissions for their purchases, even if those customers previously followed a Tagged Link from your site to our site or if those customers entered our site through a link from your site that is not a Tagged Link.
Paid commissions to nonprofit organizations: AMERICAN ROAD requests a letter acknowledging receipt of any commission payment/donation made to nonprofit entities.

You may not alter, modify or change the Licensed Materials in any way. You are only entitled to use the Licensed Materials during such time as you are a member in good standing of the Americanroadmagazine.com Affiliate Program. This license will terminate immediately upon termination of this Agreement. We may revoke your license at any time by giving you written notice. Upon termination of this Agreement, you agree that you will immediately cease all further use in any manner of any or the Licensed Materials on any site that you own, operate or control.
During the term of this Agreement, you grant to us a non-exclusive, non-transferable worldwide right and license to utilize, in our sole discretion, your names, titles, and logos in the advertising, marketing, promoting, and publicizing in any manner of our rights under this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you agree that we are under no obligation to so advertise, market, promote, or publicize. Your license to us will terminate upon the termination of this Agreement.
Each party agrees not to use the other’s proprietary materials in any manner that is disparaging or that otherwise portrays the party in a negative light. Each party reserves all of its respective rights in the proprietary materials covered by this license. Other than the license granted in this Agreement, each party retains all right, title, and interest to its respective rights and no right, title, or interest is transferred to the other.
