Chowan County Regional Fair

Chowan County Regional Fair, 73rd annual family-fun event, features thrilling midway rides and games for all ages. Furthermore, the educational and interactive Aussie Kingdom animal attraction, Old McNally’s Pig Races, Firefighter Training Show, and magic shows. Also, DJ Cowboy, live music, large and small animal exhibits, Heritage Farm displays, a train display, community exhibits, educational booths, crafts and lost arts demonstrations, contests and favorite fair food.

Special events include the Hog Showmanship Show (6:30 p.m. Wednesday) and Southern Gospel Program (6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday). In addition, Miss Chowan County Regional Fair Queen Pageant (6 p.m. Saturday).

On Tuesday, Car Load Night, fair admission and unlimited rides are just $60 per vehicle for up to 6 passengers.

Regular gate admission is $8 on site (free for children under 36 inches tall) or $6 online in advance (before midnight on Mon., Sept. 30).

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are $20 each on site or $17 online in advance. Even more, a Family 4 Pack (2 adult/2 child wristbands) is $85 online in advance.

Ride tickets are also available at the fair for $1.50 each, $30 for 20 tickets, or $60 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. While, rides take 2 or more tickets each.

Seniors 60 and older are admitted free on Thursday, with special activities from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visit the website for specials for K-12 students on Wednesday and Thursday. Also, active military and family members on Saturday.

Fair hours are 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday and 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday.

The Edward G. Bond American Legion Post 40 sponsors the Fair. While, the Chowan County Regional Fair Association runs the event.
