Chennault International Airshow

There’s a buzz in Southwest Louisiana about the Chennault International Airshow. Certainly, roaring jets, exhilarating air stunts and nostalgic homecoming for vintage aircrafts of all types.

It all takes place May 10-12 at Chennault International Airport. Headlining the 2019 lineup will be the Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team. While, the team performs precision aerial maneuvers to demonstrate the unique capabilities of one of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighters, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Highlights also include the Phillips 66 Aerostars; the Red Bull Aerobatic Helicopter, Jump Team and aerobatic pilot Kirby Chambliss. Furthermore, Kevin Coleman; B-17 Flying Fortress “Texas Raiders”; the Aftershock Jet Truck; and Wing Walker Ashley Shelton. Even more, “American Dream” P-40 Warhawk; aerobatic pilot Jacquie B; Randy Ball; Matt Younkin’s Beech 18 performance; Alabama Boys Flying Circus; and BMX Star Terry Adams.

There also will be flights and ground displays of aircraft and exhibits that salute Southwest Louisiana’s military heritage and Chennault’s own rich history. Buy food and beverages. Plus, numerous family-friendly activities in the free Kid Zone.

The Twilight Show will be held on Friday, May 10 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The abbreviated show features spectacular aerial acts against the darkening evening and night sky. Tickets are $15, with kids 12 and under free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Saturday and Sunday general admission tickets are $20 in advance, or $24 at the gate. Also, kids 12 & under are free with purchase of an adult ticket. VIP tickets and weekend passes are also available.
