Thanks for checking out my site, and the kind words. I've always lived in Michigan but for the past 12 years I've vacationed in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina each spring. I too have driven nearly every mile of US-23 and that's what influenced me to make that my first virtual roadtrip.

Love that old brick grocery store. It looks like it's had several different layers of signs over the years.

I figured out how to post photos some time ago, but haven't figured out how to do a "post". Any help, please?

Anyone have a favorite spot along US-23?
