Old US 40/52/421: Mile post signifying the crossing of the National Road and the Michigan Road. The side of the marker on the National Road show "To: Washington DC, 580 Miles", and the Michigan Road side shows "To: Madison, Ind, 83 miles". Madison is the southern terminus of the Michigan Road, on the banks of the Ohio River.
