rudkipon66 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Share Posted February 27, 2007 Just a note for those thinking about taking the Dixie Highway Cruise: Hy 62, which runs from Dale IN (a few miles S. of Interstate 64 (exit 57) to New Albany, IN, is a beautiful drive along the Ohio River Scenic Byway...I remembered this when we did our sweetheart cruise and we stood on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River...there is a very similar lookout overlooking the Ohio River just outside Leavenworth IN...you also pass through a very pretty little town called Corydon, the first state capital of Indiana, and just east of Corydon, a newly painted Red Pouch Chewing Tobacco sign on a barn!
