rudkipon66
Hello: Just wanted to advise of another theatre that may be forced to close because of digital technology. It is the Melba Theatre in De Soto, MO (home of Fo Jo Studios!), which has been a lifeline for many a theatre goer for its 67 years. There is a great article about it in todays Post Dispatch: http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/movies/efforts-under-way-to-save-historic-melba-theatre-in-de/article_a004d660-1183-558d-9e39-f404bdc95b79.html paste in your browser and see a very cool old place. Keep the Show on the Road!
Yes, a sad story, repeated hundreds, perhaps thousands of times across the land. I know of a few nearby. I have wondered if digital projectors cost only $60,000, why the movie producing companies don't spring for at least a few, given that some of their films net millions. Ah, to dream. But thanks for the info! Dave Keep the Show on the Road!
