Lake Shasta In 2008

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm working on posting some of the photos I took of old US 99 in Lake Shasta when it was low in October 2008. I have posted some in my travel blog. Come check them out!

Mike,

Thanks..... fascinating photos!! Looking back now, I should have made a trip down to see that.

I remember some of Jervie Eastman's old B&W postcards of some of those structures.

Is there any story behind the similarity between the Columbia River Highway bridge and causeway rock work and that in your photos?

Dave

There isn't any connection to my knowledge other than the time period they were built in. I'll be posting more photos from other trips once I go through them. I also have photos of old US 40A at Lake Oroville.
