Cleveland G
Dear folks, The blog has been updated to now cover from Truckee to Ruth. The next installments will be dedicated to the most interesting portion of the LHW, at least to me, that section between Ely and Salt Lake City, where the road tried desperately to avoid the salt flats. Keep the Show on the Road!
Dear folks, The blog has been updated to now cover from Truckee to Ruth. The next installments will be dedicated to the most interesting portion of the LHW, at least to me, that section between Ely and Salt Lake City, where the road tried desperately to avoid the salt flats. Grover sierratraveler.wordpress.com Grover, As always, a really nice report. I take it that Dale Southern is our DaleS. (Note: At the time I write this a couple of the last photos in your blog on this topic are not coming up.) You mention that the ranch manager at Moorman's is providing pointers to some "archives." Do you mean....some "artifacts,".... or what? Dave Keep the Show on the Road!
DaleS
Good report again, Grover. Can't wait for the rest of your travels. I should be near Hwy 50 in July or Aug. Dale
Cleveland G
Re Moorman Ranch, I mean archival material, probably written although not necessarily so. I should have said "leads to archives" and I also received contact information to one of the last survivors of the Moorman family. Research to follow.
