roadmaven
I read a troubling story regarding the financial troubles plaguing the RV Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Indiana recently. We visited there last year and the facility and displays were top notch. It would be a shame to lose this attraction dedicated to a segment of the history of American travel. If you're ever traveling in the northern Indiana area, this is well worth a couple hours of your time: http://www.rvmhhalloffame.org/
wanderlustjake
Thank you for posting the link to the story. That is definitely troubling news, but in today's economy, becoming a common problem. The display was very interesting, we've visited a couple times. The old location was hard to find, whereas the new facility is convenient and impressive. If you have any interest in rv'ing and particularly the antique ones from the pioneering days of recreational travel (as I do), Elkhart is well worth a visit. Hopefully they can rectify the situation so we can continue to enjoy the collection and watch it grow. Jason
knightfan26917
That is disturbing news about the financial situation. It's too bad they find themselves in that spot, and I sure hope they are able to figure out a way to solve it. I wonder, though, if they might have more visitors and a bigger draw/appeal (and, thus, less of a money issue) if they had placed it along a more "nostalgic" route, such as Route 66.
