DennyG
Ultramarathoner Phil Rosenstein is running across the entire United States and is using part of the Lincoln Highway to do it. Phil left Santa Monica, CA, in early August and is currently somewhere in Illinois. He has followed Historic Route 66 all the way so far and will continue on that route to Chicago. After that, at least part of his path will be along the Lincoln Highway. He picked Sixty-Six because of its history but he doesn't know all that much about the history of either US-30 or the Lincoln Highway which he'll step onto in early November somewhere around Plymouth, Indiana. Before he's done he will be a lot more familiar with that road than any of us. A full schedule is here though, at last report, Phil was well ahead of the projected pace. One reason for the run is to garner attention for the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Phil is spending many nights sleeping in roadside parks and such but would welcome a dry floor (or more) or a meal from anyone along his route.
