  6. I remember meeting Bob when he lived in Hackberry. Thankfully, we had the opportunity to meet Bob at Route 66 events, and during other Route 66 travels over the years. Bob is one of the finest individuals we've had the privilege to meet. He will be sorely missed. May his final days be filled with love.

  9. I started thinking about different ideas for this coming Thanksgiving. Something fun and different. I thought I'd share what I found - just in case it might interest some other people. I will work to post at least two ideas per week until Thanksgiving. Feel free to share ideas in your comments. Thanksgiving Marketplace. Rugby, Tennessee. November, 27, 2009. Phone: 888-214-3400 Hark back to the 1880s Rugby Christmas. Visit beautifully decorated candle and lamp lit buildings; enjoy music and actors portraying early Rugby colonists; join in carol singing with hot wassail.

  11. Hi Phil, I've been on the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan which has a clearance of 199 ft between the roadway and the water. It looks like the Sunshine Skyway's clearance is 193 ft. So, 6 ft higher above the water--if that counts. I admit, that I personally don't like crossing it. I love the bridge, its really beautiful. I'm just not fond of heights! Becky

The leaves on the trees were turning in PA, MI, and Ohio. The weather was crisp, and it was a great time for a road trip!
