Catalin Bonciu is the proprietor of the Buchanan Pub and Hotel in Mercersberg, Pennsylvania along Highway 16. This is part of the Buchanan Trail highlighted in our fall 2010 edition of the American Road Magazine. Cat bought the historic building that once belonged to James Buchanan's father and lovingly restored and improved it. As you can hear in the interview, Cat Bonciu has a genuine respect for this unheralded president and his restoration is both a labor of love and respect.
