Schoharie County Sunshine Fair

Schoharie County Sunshine Fair, a 143-year family-fun tradition, features midway rides and games for all ages. Also, live music and entertainment, demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, livestock events, and horse shows. Furthermore, Canine Center, Miniature Circus Museum, Model Railroad Exhibit, Antique Tractor Display, Clydesdales, Heritage Village, community exhibits, demonstrations, contests and fair food.
Daily entertainment includes:
the Royal Hanneford Circus, Nerger’s Performing Tigers, World of Wonders sideshow acts, and Escape Explosion Wild West Show. Even more, Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs, Master Chainsaw Sculptor Brian Ruth, and Buffalo Barfield & Un-Herd of Entertainment.
Fair highlights include:
NY Sire Stakes Harness Racing (noon) and Shine Hill Road Band (8 p.m.) on Tuesday
Draft Horse Shows (9:30 a.m., 1 p.m.), Karaoke By Piano Man’s DJ Productions (8 p.m.) on Wednesday
Kiddie Tractor Pull (7 p.m.), Demolition Derby (7:30 p.m.) on Thursday
NYS Sanctioned Tractor Pull (6 p.m.), Skeeter Creek band (8:30 p.m.) on Friday
Truck Pull (3 p.m.), Big Sky Country band (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday
NBHA Barrel Race (noon) and Championship Demolition Derby (5:30 p.m.) on Sunday.
Daily admission (ages 3 and older) is $15 Tuesday thru Thursday and $17 Friday thru Sunday. In addition, includes rides, shows and parking. See website for $55 pre-sale season passes.
The fair is open from 9 a.m. to midnight. Furthermore, Midway hours are 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 11 p.m. Wednesday thru Sunday.
