The Cowboy Way Jubilee is so much more than a simple festival! It’s the perfect family event in Downtown Ardmore, Okla. beginning with a Kids’ Parade and Sing-A-Long. Then 3 days of Cowboy Music and Poetry, Celebrities, Critters, Movies, Shopping, Eating, Games, and Workshops. Furthermore, ends with a Sunday Dinner.
Fans of Westerns (film and television) come from all over the world to meet the Hollywood Celebrities, ask them questions, and pose for photos.
The Jubilee is a wholesome alternative to current societal value trends taught through entertainment and example. It’s completely ‘G-rated so bring the whole family and friends! The fans enjoy sharing their childhood memories and heroes with new generations.
Old Western episodes and films are shown with backstory details rarely found elsewhere, creating a unique shared experience.
Cowboy music and poetry (the Western part of ‘Country & Western’) are an equally large part of the three-day event. Think “You are my Sunshine” or “Happy Trails”. Award-winning performers from across North America volunteer to entertain. While, introducing new generations to timeless cowboy music and contemporary works true to the genre—steeped in bluegrass, a bit of jazz and a lot of old-fashioned storytelling. It’s happy music, recognized world-wide.
Workshops and demonstrations showcase master “cowboying” skills and provide a direct teaching experience for all ages. Cowboy skills like roping, knife throwing (demo only), yodeling, and harmonica lessons are all featured cowboy arts. Children play timeless games, see demos, and meet livestock up close and personal in the Kid’s Korral. Cowboy artisans display and sell their wares as part of the Cowboy Crossroads Market encompassing fine art to handmade gifts and decor.
